This desk is made from caramelised bamboo. Unlike common painted tables, the wood is profoundly infused with oil, making sure its deep tone never peels off or fades over time. The smooth surface reveals a rich wood grain.
Mek has a long-lasting collaboration with WDSTCK. We created many custom tables together over the years. This series of three new designs are made from caramelised bamboo in organic shapes with subtle asymmetrical curves.
Caramelised bamboo – 140 x 80 x 75 cm
Each table is treated with a protective oil. For daily cleaning, gently wipe the surface with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a mild cleansing spray or organic cleaning agent but avoid aggressive chemical cleaners. Avoid direct contact with hot objects, such as pans. We kindly advice to remove any liquids within 10 minutes; alcohol or fat stains should be removed immediately. To keep your table looking fresh, we advice using coasters at all times.
